PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system by which required information is easily acquired. SOLUTION: When information is acquired, information concerning the current date and time is acquired. Time information such as the term of validity included in preliminarily acquired information is read with a communication propriety judgment means 485. When the current date and time are not over the term of validity, a communicating operation is judged to be impossible. When the current date and time are over the term of validity, performance of the communicating operation is judged to be possible. Processing for acquiring the information from a main server 300, etc. is performed by controlling a terminal communication means 410 by judgment that the performance of the communicating operation is possible by a setting processing means 483.
