BASE TRANSCEIVER STATION, RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, AND RADIO COMMUNICATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small and inexpensive radio communication system where a base station can communicate with a large number of terminal stations in narrow band communication using an antenna of sharp directivity. SOLUTION: A base station comprises an array antenna 102 receiving a signal externally, a circuit 104 for inverting the phase of a signal received by the array antenna 102, a mixer 105 for mixing a signal generated from the phase inverting circuit 104 with a transmission data signal, a filter 107 for extracting the transmission frequency component of a signal generated from the mixer 105, and an array antenna 108 for transmitting a signal passed through the filter 107, and transmits a transmission signal in the incoming direction of the external signal. Since a retrodirective antenna is employed on the base station side, a small and inexpensive radio communication system can be realized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
