PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the broadcast receiving trouble due to sending of position registering radio waves by a mobile talking function of a portable audio visual device having a terrestial digital broadcast receiving function and the mobile talking function. SOLUTION: The portable audio visual device 2 comprises a function for receiving a terrestial digital broadcast to output pictures and/or sounds (tuner 230, etc.), and a function for transmitting/receiving radio waves to talk (portable telephone 231). The tuner 230 gives the portable telephone 231 notice of a guard interval in OFDM-modluted signals.
