PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single shared scanner which can be freely installed on a network. SOLUTION: The scanner device is so constituted that a wireless LAN adaptor or a storage device can be attached, thereby enabling a user to use the scanner device in a place where the user wants to use it.
