摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing time required for checking the amount of wear in a brake shoe. SOLUTION: The product of the rotary speed of a wheel detected by a speed detector 7 or the rotary speed of the wheel based on the rotary speed of an electric motor detected by a speed detector 8, and actual mechanical brake force detected by a mechanical brake force detector 10 is calculated, which is successively integrated for storing at a data storage 11. The amount of wear in the brake shoe is nearly approximated to energy consumption accompanied by the generation of the mechanical brake force. The energy consumption can be estimated from the product of the mechanical brake force and the rotary speed of a wheel when the mechanical brake force is generated. Therefore, by successively calculating the product for successive integration, the total energy consumption can be estimated and the amount of wear in the brake shoe can be estimated.
