PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lifetime from decreasing and a damage from occurring by suppressing occurrence of a local stress in a shank and a blade root in a rotor blade of an axial-flow turbine. SOLUTION: The rotor blade includes a blade 11, the shank 12 continued to a base end of the blade 11, and the blade root 14 continued to the shank 12 in such a manner that the root 14 is mounted at a blade groove 3 formed on a rotor 2. In this rotor blade, a section along a direction B perpendicular to a direction A of a rotor blade axis in the shank 12 is formed in the same shape as that along a direction B perpendicular to the direction A of the rotor blade axis of the blade 11 to suppress operations of the local stresses in the shank 12 and the root 14.
