PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breather device capable of reducing the amount of oil flowing out together with blow-by gas. SOLUTION: Breather chambers 3 are suspended between adjacent push rods 8 of adjacent cylinders from the top wall of a head cover 2 mounted to the upper side of a cylinder head. The adjacent breather devices 3 communicate with each other through a breather passage 12 provided through the top wall of the head cover 2. The breather passage 12 communicates with a blow-by gas outlet 13 formed on one end side of the top wall of the head cover 2. The flow resistance of the breather chambers 3 is changed according to the distance from the blow-by gas outlet 13 to equalize the flow of blow-by gas in each breather chamber 3.
