PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously annealing a stainless steel sheet which does not form an indentation due to Cr oxide. SOLUTION: The method for continuously annealing the stainless steel sheet includes cold-rolling a stainless steel sheet containing 5.0 mass% or more Cr, then heating, soaking and cooling it, wherein the cold-rolled steel sheet is heated in conditions that a dew point in a heating zone is -10°C or lower, and that a relation between a steel-sheet temperature T up to the maximum temperature of the steel sheet in the heating zone and a heating time (t) satisfies 30×t≤T and an expression (A): T≤1,070-10×t (A), (wherein T expresses a temperature of the steel sheet (°C); and t expresses a heating time (sec)).
