PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent ink jet head in which ejection of ink from a nozzle is improved by eliminating the reflected wave of ink for a pressure wave directed to the downstream side of a manifold. SOLUTION: The ink jet head 1 comprises a nozzle 9a for ejecting ink, an ink pressure chamber 17a communicating with the nozzle 9a, and a manifold MN for supplying ink to the ink pressure chamber 17a. The manifold MN has a manifold channel MN2 formed in closed-loop and an insular part NM3 surrounded by the closed-loop manifold channel MN2 is supported by a coupling part NM4 not intercepting the manifold channel MN2.
