MAGNETODYNAMICAL METHOD FOR HEATING AND CASTING FLUID METAL

摘要

Magnetodynamical method for heating and casting fluid metal combines feeding melted metal with known properties to the bath of the apparatus, heating the metal with electric current, natural circulation of metal in channels, affecting metal with magnetic field, creation of additional electromagnetic forces in metal, casting metal under action of those forces in one or several metal receivers. At that, in the cross-like mutually normal branches ofthe induction channels in liquid metal there are formed electromagnetic forces directed in opposite directions.
