A method for obtaining high-strength nonporous antifriction material with high self-lubricating ability and wear resistance includes preparation of charge by mixing the powdery components of antifriction material, formation and melting of charge, and impregnation of the components of antifriction material with oil, which contains from 0.5 to 10 % by weight of ultra-dispersed powder of diamond, in this case, the consistency of oil and size of particles of ultra-dispersed powder of diamond are selected in such a manner that after impregnation theamount of oil in antifriction material is from 0.5 to 40 % by weight of ultra-dispersed powder of diamond - from 0.1 to 5 % by weight. Antifriction material in the form of sintered powders of ferrophosphorus, iron, graphite and copper or its alloys with localized inclusions of granules, which contain copper and graphite, which also contains oil with ultra-dispersed powder of diamond and binding agent, in this case the granules have the size of 0.4-2.0 mm. An element of the friction unit includes a carrier with sintered layer of antifriction material from sintered powders of ferrophosphorus, iron, graphite and copper or its alloys with localized inclusions of granules, which contain copper and graphite, and also oil with ultra-dispersed powder of diamond and carbonic fibers, glass or sulfur as binding agent.
