<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a platinum electrode in which a bonding strength to a solid electrolyte substrate is high, thereby exerting a stable electrode characteristic without generation of peeling off of the platinum electrode even under use environment of a rapid temperature-rising speed. <P>SOLUTION: In an oxygen sensor in which the platinum electrode is formed so as to be countered to the front and rear faces of a zirconia solid electrolyte substrate, a paste for electrode formation prepared by mixing platinum powders of 0.1 to 2.0 μm in the average particle diameter and 0.5 to 4.0 μm in D90 with ZrO<SB>2</SB>powders of 1.0 to 5.0 μm in the average particle diameter and of 70 to 120 m<SP>2</SP>/g in BET specific surface area is baked and formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
