<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe cylindrical solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) generator with high reliability which can endure a heat expansion difference or thermal cycles. <P>SOLUTION: In the cylindrical SOFC generator, a cylindrical shape and both ends opened SOFC 13 stored in a fuel cell container 1 and provided with at least a cathode, electrolyte and anode, a bottom part partitioning wall 8 provided with an oxidant feeding hole 4, a top part partitioning wall 14 and a connecting part 7 in which a lower end 5 of the SOFC 13 is connected to the oxidant feeding hole 4 provided in the bottom part partitioning wall 8 to be air tight are provided. Furthermore, an upper end 17 of the SOFC 13 is put through the top part partitioning wall 14, fuel gas is fed to a generator chamber 12 surrounded by the fuel cell container 1, the bottom part partitioning wall 8 and the top part partitioning wall 14 and oxide gas is fed inside the SOFC 13 from the oxidant feeding hole 4. In the tube shape SOFC generator carrying out power generation, a heat transmission shielding means 9 is provided in the periphery of the connecting part 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
