<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell and a jointed body of fuel cells with a high power generation property, of which humidification control can be easily carried out. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst composition for the fuel cell contains conductive powder including catalyst component and fibrous carbon. The jointed body of fuel cell comprises an electrode having a catalyst layer and a gas diffusion layer on both sides of an electrolyte film, and a layer containing water-repellent resin and fibrous carbon at least at the part of the surface of the gas diffusion layer where the gas diffusion layer contacts with the catalyst layer, and the fuel cell uses the above jointed body of fuel cells.
