<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which image quality of high speed printing is enhanced while ensuring a high image density, sufficient coloring properties, color reproducibility, and the like, and improving both side printability, and ink drying properties (fixing properties). <P>SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder records an image composed of a plurality of dots on a sheet by means of an ink jet head having nozzle holes for ejecting ink and a means generating a pressure for ejecting ink from the nozzle holes, using ink containing a pigment at a concentration of 6wt% or more, a wetting agent, polyol or glycolether of 8C or above, an anionic or cationic surfactant, a water soluble organic solvent, and water and having viscosity of 8 cp (25°C) or above. The ink jet recorder is provided with a means for forming smaller size dots on the periphery of outline of the image where the dots vary stepwise. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
