<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid-separating and purifying device which uses a solid phase used for a method for adsorbing a nucleic acid contained in a specimen to the surface of the solid phase, subjecting the adsorbed nucleic acid to a washing treatment and the like, and then desorbing the treated nucleic acid, and to provide a method for separating and purifying the nucleic acid with the device. <P>SOLUTION: This nucleic acid-separating and purifying device comprises a cylindrical syringe 3 which has a tip portion 9 having the first opening 11 formed therein, and a base end portion 15 having the second opening 18 formed therein, and can hold a liquid in a storing portion 19 between the first opening and the second opening, a piston member 5 comprising a plunger and a piston plug 33 connected to the tip of the plunger, and a solid phase-holding member 7 having a passage hole 41 formed therein, wherein the solid phase formed from an organic polymer having hydroxy groups on the surface and capable of adsorbing and desorbing the nucleic acid in the specimen solution is stored in the solid phase-holding member 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
