<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle driving operation support device capable of transmitting vertical and horizontal risk potentials to a driver to properly assist the driving operation. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle driving operation support device 1 is provided with traveling environment detecting means (10, 20, 21, 30), a risk potential calculating means (controller 50), a vertical transmitting means 80, a horizontal transmitting means 60 and a timing varying means (controller 50). The traveling environment detecting means detects the surrounding traveling environment of its own vehicle. The risk potential calculating means calculates the backward and forward and right and left risk potentials of its own vehicle on the basis of the traveling environment detected by the traveling environment detecting means. The vertical transmitting means transmits the backward and forward risk potential calculated by the risk potential calculating means to a driver. The horizontal transmitting means transmits the right and left risk potential calculated by the risk potential calculating means to the driver. The timing varying means varies the output timings of the vertical transmitting means and the horizontal transmitting means to stabilize its own vehicle by promoting the back and forth or right and left driving operations of its own vehicle by the driver when the operation/non-operation of the vertical transmitting means and the horizontal transmitting means are switched. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
