<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus whereby a hollow fiber is cut so as to give it a smooth cut surface while suppressing the occurrence of burrs of a polymer film or the like on the cut surface. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a holding mechanism for holding both sides of the cutting position of a hollow fiber which is formed by applying a metal film and a polymer film to the inside of an annular member, a light-guide optical system which guides UV laser light from a laser light source to the cutting position of the hollow fiber held by the holding mechanism, and a rotating mechanism for rotating the hollow fiber held by the holding mechanism. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
