<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide brewage from non-malt raw material of reduced purine content and a method for brewing the same, particularly provide a method for selectively, efficiently and effectively reducing purine compounds, when brewage is produced from non-malt feedstock, for example brewing Sake or wine and provide brewage of a purine content reduced by the method according to this invention. <P>SOLUTION: When a brewage, e.g. Sake or wine is produced from non-malt feedstock, purine compounds in the brewage are selectively adsorbed and removed by means of an adsorbent that can selectively adsorb purine compound in the brewage, particularly by a treatment with activated carbon. Thus, the brewage including a reduced amount of purine compounds is efficiently and effectively produced.
