PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder with which video recording can be reserved highly conveniently and easily. SOLUTION: This video recorder is provided with a receiving means which receives broadcast signals, a selecting means which selects prescribed broadcast data from among received broadcast data now on the air or broadcast data recorded by means of a recording means and now being reproduced, and an adding means which adds information to the selected broadcast data. This video recorder is also provided with an acquiring means which acquires the information required for reserving video recording by using the added information, a reserving means which reserves video recording by using the acquired information, and a recording means which performs video recording from the information reserved for video recording.
