PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer system in which the transfer efficiency of a data transfer path is equal to its transfer capacity. SOLUTION: When data processing is not required on the way of transferring data to a video board 20, the data are transferred through a dual port memory 16 of an HDD device 10. Consequently, an I/O bus 40 is used only in transfer which is second data transfer from the dual port memory 16 of the HDD device 10 to the output interface 24 of the video board 20 by the DMA controller 22 of the video board 20, and the I/O bus 40 is not used in the first transfer from an HD 15 of the HDD device 10 to the dual port memory 16 in the HDD device 10 by the DMA controller 12 of the HDD device 10.
