PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To autonomously retrieve information, based on a simple direction from a user, and to easily provide the information out of a wide range of information source without requiring time and labor. SOLUTION: In this information retrieving method using an agent, a plurality of agents set with an information retrieving condition inherent individually is exhibited (102), the agent is selected out of the plurality of agents, based on the information retrieving condition desired by the user (103), and information retrieval (111) desired by the user is carried out based thereon.
