<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save labor for regular inspection work at low cost as compared with conventional work. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system is provided with a plurality of lighting devices A with a specific address allocated, and a controller B with the plurality of the lighting devices A bus-wired by a communication path Ls for identifying each of the lighting devices A by the specific address and giving and receiving data. Because the plurality of the lighting devices A and the controller B are bus-wired by the communication path Ls, construction becomes easy and cost is reduced. Furthermore, an inspection is conducted by the lighting device A by transmitting an inspection start command from the controller B, and an inspection result is returned to the controller B. Thus the labor for the inspection operation is saved, each of the lighting devices A is required only to transmit a lighting completion command for prescribing a timing of inspection completion, and determination of the inspection result is conducted by the controller B.
