PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail relay system which can prevent transferring and diffusing a virus to its addresses, and is made able to transfer electronic mails to their addresses without delay. SOLUTION: The relay system is provided with mail relay server systems (20, 30) and a first and second computer units (11, 12). The first computer unit (11) deletes an electronic mail judges as containing a virus based on filter information, copies and sends an electronic mail judged as containing no virus to the second computer unit, makes the mail relay server systems transfer the mail to its addresses, extracts the feature of information sent from the second computer unit as the feature of the virus, and updates the filter information based on the feature.
