PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the fragility in the use of a personal identification code, and prevent the illegal use by an unauthorized user without losing the serviceability for authorized users. SOLUTION: The terminal comprises: a voice input unit 13 for taking in voices; a feature quantity extractor 14 for extracting a feature quantity of the taken voices; a feature quantity memory 15 for storing the feature quantities of authorized users; an authenticator 16 for comparing a feature quantity extracted by the extractor 14 from the inputted voices to the voice input unit 13 with that stored in the memory 15 to authenticate, if agreeing; and a terminal controller 17 which allows an input operation of a character input unit 18 after detecting the agreement but restricts the input operation of the character input unit 18, if detecting the disagreement.
