PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reconstructing a three-dimensional image with respect to the interest area of an object from cone beam projection data. SOLUTION: In this method, the cone beam projection data consisting of a set of cone beam projection images is acquired to select at least one cone beam projection image, identifies the area of interest inside the selected cone beam image, and to define "the three-dimensional lattice of a point". Projection into the corresponding selected cone beam image of a point in the three-dimensional lattice samples the area of interest identified in the corresponding selected cone beam projection image and reconstructs image of the object on points in the three-dimensional lattice to form the three-dimensional image of the object.
