PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having a high safety when the battery is unusually heated without aggravating the battery performance the normal use. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte battery has nonaqueous electrolyte having no polymerizability in itself, not dissociating at 60°C or below for most cases, and dissociating between 80°C and 125°C.
