PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proximity switch composed by enhancing detection sensitivity more than a conventional one. SOLUTION: A magnetic flux induction member 4 with a flange part 4b continuously formed at one end of a cylindrical body 4a is interlaid between a coil case 5 with a detection coil 6 and a core 7 housed, and a metallic case 3. The induction member 4 uses a non-magnetic metal body as a base material 41, and composed by forming a ferromagnetic metal thin film 42 throughout the entire inside and outside surfaces of the base material, and is fixed and disposed in a form wherein the flange part 4b abuts on the front edge of the metallic case 3, and the cylindrical body 4a is fitted in a recessed part 3b of the metallic case 3. Magnetic flux axially expanding from the detection coil 6 is collected by the thin film 42 of the induction member 4, and guided to the front direction of the detection direction.
