PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical fiber array having a smooth core surface and has very low light transmission loss in a short time by a simple manufacturing device to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: A comb-shaped molded article 1 having a plurality of bars arrayed in parallel is inserted into a liquid unhardened UV-curable resin 2 from above and makes its bar end parts approximately simultaneously brought into contact with the resin 2 and is pulled up, and the resin pulled up together with the bar end parts are hardened to simultaneously form a plurality of core parts 4, and all the core parts 4 are immersed in an unhardened UV-curable resin (resin solution for clad) 6 and are taken out to form clad layers, this article 7 having clad layers formed is put in a vessel 9 together with a low-viscosity thermosetting resin 8, and they are heated together with the vessel 9 to harden the entire article 7, and then protection parts are formed, and thereafter, both end parts including a portion of the comb-shaped molded article 1 are cut, and cross sections are ground to perform finishing.
