PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a replica-producing method, capable of creating a replica of a shape changing part at low cost in a short time and accurately reproducing the shape and size of the shape changing part onto the replica, without needing special tracks in the periphery of the shape changing part. SOLUTION: A surface region of a specimen (W: a structural material) including the shape changing part (S) is covered with a member (a jig 10 dedicated to producing the replica) having relatively high rigidity and little flowability. After the member (10), having relatively high rigidity and little flowability, is removed from the surface of the specimen (W), a mold-making agent (20) having relatively low rigidity and high flowability is filled in (or applied to) the shape changing part (S). Then the region, filled with the mold making agent (20), is covered with the member (10) having relatively high rigidity and little flowability and is held. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
