PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold right and left feed ropes in an equally tensioned state for eliminating need of tightening nuts at each time when elongation of the feed ropes is produced. SOLUTION: A semi-circular sheave 12 is provided on a fixing part 9 of the feed rope 3f of a boring machine, the right and left feed ropes 3f are connected into one to be wound around the semi-circular sheave 12, and a spring 14 urging the semi-circular sheave 12 to the tensioned side of the feed rope 3f is provided.
