The invention relates to a cock comprising an indexable rotating key. According to the invention, the indexing means comprise a raised element (8) which is disposed on the shaped base (7) of the housing (3) of the barrel (2) and a ring (10) which is formed at the end of the key (1) and which is elastically deformable in a transverse plane. The aforementioned raised element and ring form stubs and notches which co-operate in order to determine the key blocking positions when the key is being rotated.
