<p>An electronic games machine includes a credit system (26, 28) for registering one or more credits and a free play indicator on a control panel (14). The control panel also includes one or more controls. The control system (28) is arranged to detect a predetermined input or sequence of inputs on the credit system and/or controls, and to respond by determining whether to offer a free play. Thus, a free play may be awarded without reaching any particular state or score or result in the game. The invention may for example be applied to a games machine of the type known as a crane grabber having a crane (10) and a claw (12) for grabbing prizes.</p> |
