The coupling method has the shaft pin provided with a flange aligned coaxially with the linkage cuff (11), a sleeve of greater diameter fitted over the contact point between the flange and the linkage cuff and reduced in the radial direction via a pulse welding method for welding the linkage cuff to the flange. An Independent claim for a method for providing a coupling between a linkage cuff and a shaft sleeve is also included.
