<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precise design method of a jig plate, which is capable of designing a jig plate easily in a short time by making a wire harness possible to be developed two-dimensionally by an easy manner. <P>SOLUTION: In this design method, a wire harness is developed two-dimensionally by a simple method based upon a combination of only a bending and/or straightening process and a twisting process, or in addition, a replacement process. Then, a reference plane is created in such a manner that the two segments having the largest diameter and the second largest diameter, which are selected from the segments having been completed on the bending and/or stretching process, can be included on the reference plane.
