<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for pixelating an organic layer of an OLED display. <P>SOLUTION: This method is used for attaching the organic layer on an OLED display substrate in a pattern-like form. In the method, a structure composed by disposing a manifold and the OLED display substrate in a decompressed chamber with a space, and by covering one surface of the manifold in a sealing manner, and including a plurality of nozzles penetrating the structure and extending into the manifold is installed; when organic material vapor is fed into the manifold, and a pressurized inert gas is added in the manifold, a directed beam of the inert gas and the organic material vapor is provided by providing a viscous gas flow formed by passing the inert gas through the respective nozzles and by transporting at least a part of the organic material vapor through the nozzles from the manifold by the viscous gas flow; and the pattern-like organic layer is attached on the substrate by projecting the directed beam on the OLED display substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
