<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which makes efficient use of a large number of computing units, is high in the degrees of freedom for algorithm and flexibility, and realizes a high-speed computing processing, without causing enlarging of circuit scale and increase in cost. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is provided with a control circuit 301, which can alter the logical connection and computation contents of a desired computing unit and the electrical connection of a crossbar circuit, upon the receipt of control information. The control circuit 301 holds present control information (present-stage control information) and information on control to be conducted next (next-stage control information). Arithmetic data are transmitted synchronously with a control signal, which can recognize that the arithmetic data concerned are the final data used for computation. When it is recognized that the arithmetic data are the final data, the control circuit rewrites the present-stage control information with the next-stage control information, after the computation under execution has been completed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
