BOOK INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USING NONCONTACT IC TAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book information management system using noncontact IC tags to integrally manage information on the circulation of books among a plurality of handling organizations and collect information on books in the process of circulation.

SOLUTION: Each of the handling organizations has an IC tag reader for reading book ID information written on the noncontact IC tag of each book, and a terminal which transmits to a management server the read book ID information and handling organization ID information specifying each handling organization. The management server has a book information database in which the book ID information and book information are registered in association with each other; a handling organization information database in which the handling organization ID information and handling organization information are registered in association; an extracting means for extracting the book information from the book information database and the handling organization information from the handling organization information database according to the book ID information and the handling organization ID information received from the terminal; and a storage means for storing the extracted book information and the handling organization information in association.
