PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a mechanism for performing parallel adjustment and to improve the operability of an optical adjustment and inspection device for optical pickup. SOLUTION: A cover glass holder 40 for holding a cover glass 37 being a dummy of a recording medium is attached to an objective lens 31 of a microscope opposing to an optical pickup 1 to be measured and placed on a work stage 21. The cove glass holder 40 has a fixed part 41 to be attached to the objective lens 31 of the microscope, a movable part 42 for holding the cover glass, and two plate adjusting screws 43, 44 arranged having an angle of 90°for a center part. The swing/tiltθx,θy of the cover glass can be adjusted by rotating the plate adjusting screws 43, 44. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
