METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRESS-FITTING MAGNET COVER OF MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent abnormal deformation or damage of a magnet cover by reducing a press-fitting load required for starting press-fitting when press-fitting the magnet cover in the inner peripheral surface of the magnet that is inserted in the yoke of a motor. SOLUTION: The tip 73 of a press-fitting tool 70 is provided with a press-contact surface 73A whose diameter is smaller than an outer peripheral surface 71A of the press-fitting tool 70 that pinches a magnet cover 60 with an internal peripheral surface 52A of a magnet 52 when a magnet cover 60 is press-fitted by the press-fitting tool 70, related to a method and an apparatus for press-fitting the magnet cover of a motor 20. The press-contact surface 73A of the tip 73 of the press-fitting tool 70 is made to press-contact a bending part 63A of a press-fitting start end 63 of the magnet cover 60 for press-fitting the magnet cover 60.
