PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a selective light-absorbing composition improved in absorbance of a selective light-absorbing material having a light absorption maximum in a specific wavelength region and provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The method for producing the selective light-absorbing composition is to contact the selective light absorbing material having the absorption maximum in the specific wavelength region with a carbon nanotube.
