PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To seal by welding an opening of a packaging bag made of a thermoplastic material while forming air holes on the opening to keep a part of it unwelded. SOLUTION: A sealing apparatus for the packaging bag is provided, and the apparatus comprises a bag mouth opening unit 2 for certainly opening the opening a1 of the packaging bag (a) made of the thermoplastic material, an air hole forming unit 3 for inserting air hole forming bars 31 into the opening a1 that are opened by the bag mouth opening unit 2, and a sealing unit 4 for welding the opening a1 while keeping a part of it unwelded.
