PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply water of good quality with a low oxidation-reduction potential without degrading its characteristics. SOLUTION: A water distribution system for preserving and/or distributing water to be supplied under the condition where the following equation (1) can be satisfied is provided. The equation (1) is E<SB>0</SB>-E>0.04, where E refers to the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) of the water to be supplied and E<SB>0</SB>refers to the ORP, that is the oxidation-reduction potential, calculated by the equation of ORP=0.84-0.047pH at the same pH as that of the water to be supplied.
