The invention relates to medicine and biotechnology, in particular to the diagnosis and preventive vaccination against AIDS-1 and can be used for producing antigens for diagnostic test-systems and for producing a vaccine against AIDS-1. The inventive immunogenic library of chimeric peptides mimicking the genetic diversity of the hypervariable region V3 gp120 AIDS-1 is embodied in such a way that it is immunogenic, initiates the production of antibodies interacting with a wide spectrum of gp120 variants of various genotypes of AIDS-1 and exhibits the capacity to bind earlier antibodies to AIDS-1. The structural composition of the library is disclosed in the description thereof. The capacity of the immunologic library of chimeric peptides to bind specific antibodies against AIDS-1 is studied with the aid of the indirect variant of an immunoassay analysis of the serum of AIDS-1 infected persons in comparison with the serum of healthy persons and the serum of standard anti- AIDS-1 panels. The immunisation of laboratory animals by the library of chimeric peptides produces specific antibodies interacting with a wide spectrum of gp 120 variants of various genotypes of human immunodeficiency.
