The invention concerns the metallurgy, in particular, the catching dust in the slag chamber of open-hearth furnace. The method for catching of dust in the slag chamber by precipitation from the flue gas consists in that the dust is precipitated through the steam-gas screen of thickness (0.1 ? 0.3)L, where L - length of vertical channel in front of the slag chamber with a temperature lower than the temperature of the liquidus curve of the slag. The removal of slag is performed in the dust-like condition that reduces the working hours of the removal process.
