The assembly machine, having a welding unit with a horizontal plate (10), upper mobile (14) and lower fixed (11) electrodes, has the plate able to move horizontally in a lengthwise direction set by the fixed electrode, the length of which is less than that of the slot. <??>The plate is equipped with holders (15) to retain the plastic sheet edges in the assembly position, and the machine has controls to regulate the holders and an automatic control unit for the different operations. The holders are in the form of suction holes in the plate's upper surface, in two rows on either side of the fixed electrode's lengthwise axis, in which a depression is created to hold the edges of the plastic sheets in the required position for welding. Each row of holes, which have cross-pieces to prevent deformation of the plastic sheets by the suction, is controlled by a separate push-button. |
