<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus for enabling each user to grasp a using state by converting the amount of toner used into the number of printed papers. <P>SOLUTION: A system controller 309 measures the number of picture elements used for printing by an image forming apparatus 409 for printing an image by using a plurality of picture elements; and converts the measured number of picture elements into the number of papers, on the basis of information including at least any item of the predetermined size of a paper, an image region of a paper of the size, an area rate occupied by the picture elements in the image region, and the resolution of picture elements.
