<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently exhaust a gas inside a cavity without being influenced by the expansion of a die caused by heating. <P>SOLUTION: The degassing apparatus is provided with a fixed degassing block 10 and a movable degassing block. A negative pressure generation part A is formed inside the fixed degassing block 10. The negative pressure generation part A is composed of a nozzle 50 communicating with a molten metal spout prevention passage via a degassing passage 12 and a small gap D formed around the opening part of the nozzle 50. Then, the pressure in the hollow part of the nozzle 50 is made negative by causing compressed air to flow into the small gap D. Further, an air feed passage 14 of introducing the compressed air fed from the outside into the small gap D of the negative pressure generation part A, and an exhaust passage 61 of exhausting the compressed air introduced into the small gap D of the negative pressure generation part A through the air feed passage 14 to the outside via an exhaust hole formed on a fixed die are formed on the fixed degassing block 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
