<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a proper active matrix display device. <P>SOLUTION: Linear or rectangular laser light, irradiating an area where a source driver circuit is formed in an active matrix display device has a sufficient dimension to irradiate the entire area where the source driver circuit is formed, and a region, where the source driver circuit is formed is subjected to the irradiation with the substrate and the laser light being not moved.
