PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a lock case greatly increasing strengths of a deadbolt and the lock case so that the strength can be secured even if the deadbolt protrudes long. SOLUTION: A dead guard to which the deadbolt is assembled in such a manner as to be sandwiched from above and below is provided inside the lock case to reinforce the lock case while protecting the deadbolt. The dead guard serves as a rail to assist the deadbolt in sliding. The lock case with increased strength and operability is thus manufactured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
